This 3 day personal growth workshop uses the powerful technique of Edutainment (entertainment combined with education) to teach life lessons in a setting that the audience will never forget.
The creators of Sesame Street caused a paradigm shift that allowed TV to not just entertain children, but educate them at the same time. It worked because, in a classroom the children get bored but in front of Barney the Purple Dinosaur they never lose interest.
Marc believed that if it worked for children, it would work even better for adults. By the time we graduate high school we have spent about 14,000 hours in a classroom.
The "View From the Edge" is a series of short plays that are acted out in order to teach life lessons in an entertaining manner. The event takes place in an actual theater over 3 days and usually includes about 20 characters. The other thing that Marc realized is that people remember things better when emotion is involved in the learning process, so the lineup of characters takes the viewers on a emotional rollercoaster ride that will evoke virtually every emotion and culminate with a crescendo that will leave them in a state of mind most people never experience.
