Several years ago, Marc and his wife Kelly were searching for their ultimate purpose in their lives together. While they were very fulfilled in teaching the treasures of succeeding in life that they had learned with many successful business people, it seemed that there was something more that need to happen in order to reach ultimate fulfillment.
Kelly had an epiphany and felt that they should become involved with Big Brother Big Sister by Marc mentoring a little boy in need. Marc took on a young boy of six whom had lost his dad to a heart attack at a very young age. His stay at home mom had to get a job and try to raise five children on her own. Kelly also became very involved in the little boys life and before you knew it, Marc and Kelly we advocating BBBS and getting numerous friends and clients on Board as Big Brothers and Sisters.
They were then asked to be members of the local board of directors for BBBS (Colin County Texas) and then went on to become co-chairs of that same board.
Their involvement with BBBS on that level made it obvious what their ultimate mission would be....
To keep teaching the same life altering information that they had been teaching all along, but now to created a Foundation that would teach it to Middle School age children. They have became obsessed with making a profound impact by creating programs that can raise the awareness of children at that critical age (12-14) and prepare them for what is to come, instead of waiting to teach the information to people after they had battled through a decade of two in the “real world” and they had already been dealt many blows that has eroded their self esteem.
After a significant planning period, we will be announcing our initial Unstoppable Life Skills Seminars in the summer of 2009.
I have had the pleasure of knowing Marc and Kelly for about 4 years now. They became a Big Brother and Sister to a little boy named William about a two years ago, and have had a profound impact on him.
I am amazed at the way they move people with their training company. We would love to have them do a program for the kids at BBBS. They truly have a heart for people, and we are very thankful for all the time and energy they dedicate to the Big Brother, Big Sister organization.
